It's a crime...

Guy is complaining about it being cold, but continues to wear a short sleeve unbuttoned polo? ??‍♂️

Shoes look great. The completed work is on point. ??
My only gripe, and yes it will wear with wear, but do I really have to see the J.Rendenbach emblem? I'd want them to look like my originals. I wonder if he has J&FJ Bakers outsoles?

Considering EG wouldn't touch those after the disastrous previous cobbler's work, I think this guy did a fantastic job, if the owner was set on keeping those.

I think that has more to do with EG's policies than the horrible work that was done to the shoes. IIRC if you get any kind of resole work outside of something minor like a topy or toe taps done by a third party EG will refuse to work on the boots thereafter, regardless of the quality of the work done.

That's exactly my point.

In line with companies like Rolex, they won't service your watch if it has been "modded".

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
