Have I mentioned the Burger Joint in the Parker Meridien in this thread?
Have I mentioned the Burger Joint in the Parker Meridien in this thread? It's on my list, along with Louis Lunch in New Haven, which I know I've already mentioned.
I went to Five Guys this afternoon. It was OK. Pretty good. I'd have one again. But hard to call it the best, and the fries I didn't like.
So far in my experience it's Ray's Hell Burger in Arlington. Amazing meat.
How did it compare to In-N-Out, if you've ever been.
The best burger, far and away, that I've ever had is at a little place outside Hartford called Shady Glen. They take a burger, put a lot of cheese on top, and somehow flip the burger to get the cheese directly on the griddle surface. The result is a crispy cheese, kind of like the stuff that ends up on the cookie sheet when you make frozen pizza or any kind of baked cheese item. The burgers themselves are terrific. The buns are toasted on the griddle, and oila. They are truly amazing, and I highly recommend a visit to the uninitiated.
