You're going to have to bear with my terrible description here but I am looking for some brands which stock a particular style of eyewear.

The frames are generally round, and fully rimmed (but thin) and are generally quite unique in design. For example, some will have a bar going through the top quarter of both frames or the frame might be 'round' but in essence is actually made a 10-sided polygon or something like that.

Otherwise, brands that specialise in exotic materials such as wood.

Does anyone have any recommendations for moving out of "retro" chunkier black frames, and into something made of semi-transparent acetate or even an acetate-metal blend? I've been in wayfarer-style glasses for a while, and I think I'd like to try something new.

Barton pereira has a few where the face is semi transparent and the sides are tortoise. I wear ones that are Amber but they are carry a more crystal color in a few models

Check out their Cagney. Wayfer square face a little more refined imo plus it has the two tone which i think looks really sharp. I had a tough tome deciding between the crystal and honey wilmot. Wilmot pictured below.

I'm looking for a new pair of black/gold glasses. Looking at the Dita Edmont, Thom Browne TB101, or Thom Browne Round 46. Can anyone comment on quality and durability?

Also, does black optical accept returns?

Dita is some of the best built eyewear on the planet! Incase you didn't know Dita manufactures all the Thom Browne frames as well. The TB 101 is a personal favorite of mine. I think the style of the 101 is really unique as well.

And yes, Black Optical offers free shipping and returns within 14 days.

If you have any more questions hit me up here or email me at [email protected]
