YSL always had great glasses.

My current favorites are the NDG-1 models from Oliver Peoples, I have several in different colors/finishes:

They were first made for a now closed company (Nom de Guerre) but Oliver Peoples has kept the design in its lineup under a different model name.

I wear the Revelation from Shuron which is an updated version of their classic Malcolm X type combination frame:

Jean Lempereur also has some great designs, slightly updated classics. However, they are expensive. I have these made up as sunglasses:

The Ronsir Zyl. One of my favorites.

I went the cheapo route and got Ronsir knockoffs for $40.00 with lenses from Zenni Optical, just to make sure I wasn't going through a phase. I really like them and will be stepping up to Shurons soon.

@Sri
- I can't remember if the Freeway or Sidewinder are the larger frame? I'm also considering a pair, have a big fat head, and want than nice amber color. Your photos do the frames far more justice than even Shuron's own site.

Sidewinders are bigger ... I wanted a pair of freeways but the sidewinders fit me way better. I also have a pair of Shuron Sportivos made up as prescription sunglasses. Love 'em. (warning: my ugly mug is visible in that link). Considering getting a pair in Ronsir frames made as sunglasses as well.

I think shuron is now offering the Freeways, Sidewinders, Ronsir Zyls, and Revelations in 52 & 54mm lenses. My revelations are 52mm.

Anyone have a recommendation for a good MC optical store in San Francisco or the East Bay? I need some new frames.
