The TS needs a trip to India for two weeks. I bet he stops complaining after that.

I've never seen leftover salmon post anything remotely smart but this takes the cake.

Career advice: become an astronaut and go **** Martian women like captain Kirk (another canadian).

mediocre grades

about to get laid off, and they have already hired your replacement

the question I would be asking is why am I being laid off and what do I have to do to keep this job
if they hired a replacement it's not that the position is being eliminated, you are being eliminated
my guess is attitude and aptitude
give the job to someone who actually WANTS it and is enthusiastic about it, they will be motivated to perform

It's an internet forum -- I reserve only my stupidest questions for it.

How would I get a job doing what you're doing?

Making 150k a year living in NYC sounds like a ******* dream, man. Hook me up.

I understand how you feel. But at the same time are you willing to accept a job that's way worse but 1/3 of your salary?

If I were in your position I'd suck it up, and use the money I get from work to invest in what I want to do, and what I would find fulfilling.

Lol did you read the OP at all? He TOLD his company he wanted to move offices because his girl lives in Canada. They helped him make contacts for a transition there but nothing has panned out. They've hired his replacement in the mean time and he's out on his ass in a couple of months.

This wouldn't be so bad, except I'm going to be laid off soon. We've hired someone to be my replacement....

Sorry I really don't think you did. He is being laid off because he told his company he wanted to leave.
