Just to give my 2c worth: I loved the Ryder III, but had to return for repair after minimal wear due to separation of welt from the dainite sole. I initially dismissed this flaw as a rare occurrence but surprisingly and sadly it happened again not long after they had supposedly been repaired at...

Hi, this may not be the appropriate forum but I have a pair of Caldecott 2 suede which I would like to swap for same or similar in a larger size. Mine are UK10 and in excellent condition with spare laces and box. Love them, just a fraction small and so rarely wear. Selling would be next option...

** Quintessential Crockett & Jones Thread ** (reviews, quality, etc...)

I need some advice. I have been breaking in my Islay, wearing about every other day for the past 4 weeks and I'm undecided on the fit for me. The boots were snug across the width initially and and have stretched out comfortably but I am concerned that my heels lift and rub to point of...

Anyone have any advice on last comparison between that of Islay and Chiltern? Sorry, don't have last numbers. After failed factory repair attempts of my Ryder, I have returned them and am looking for a quality C&J replacement. For reference, I had to size down from a UK11 in my Church's Ryder to...

Keep an eye on that welt. See my earlier posts for common fault, which was rectified gracefully by Church's but then recurred within weeks of being repaired. I have since returned them again to Church's via Herring Shoes, who provided outstanding customer service all round and were able to to...

    Church's Appreciation Thread

I am happy to report that my shoes have been returned from Church's via Herring and despite being repaired, (which I explicitly requested if possible, as they took some time to wear in) the finish on the welt is actually better than new. Complete turnaround was probably about 2-3 weeks, express...

It looks like exactly the same problem, however I have had mine for about 18 months and only just noticed the defect. Strange that it has occurred in both shoes at exactly the same time and place. It must be a design fault

    Church's Appreciation Thread

I contacted the UK online store where they were purchased and the acknowledged a definite fault. They covered the cost of return shipping and suspect the factory will send me a new pair. Unfortunately, it took me some time to break these in with a bit of stretching and now I have to start all...

I have a pair of 29 JS medium slim fit that I have rinsed and tried to break in at home but the rise is just to low for me. Anyone want to buy or trade?

    3sixteen Denim Series, Bracelets, Shirts...

I have a pair of st100x 31, which i have tried to break in around house a few times, rinsed, hemmed to about 32 and require a bottom button. Looking to trade for something bigger/ looser in thigh, top block with a higher rise. Any offers?

Please take a look at the welt at the instep of both Ryder boots purchased last year and assess what appears to be increasing separation from the dainite sole? There is now a definite ridge of about 2mm. The have been worn very occasionally and stored in bags with trees. Thoughts?

I definitely would not size up. Most take a half size down in this last and I think I may be the exception who needs a whole size smaller

If only I lived closer. They are exactly what I am after. I have already returned an 11 and now have to sell a lightly used 10.5 due to incorrect sizing. I tried on a 10 in Rogersons and although their last felt a little different, they seemed a better size for me.

Yes, I had thanks but they seem to vary a bit. Wasn't sure whether eBay was the best place.

How much can I reasonably expect to ask for a pair of Islay that have been worn twice? Size-wise they should be good for me but heel slips and they seem to long at toe

Even with thicker socks, as intended for a winter boot, I still feel they are too long with some slip at heel. Unfortunately, I have worn them for 2 afternoons outside and show some creasing, hence I can not exchange.

I feel that my 10.5E Islay are more generous in width and length compared to my 11F Ryder. It will prove an expensive mistake if I can't recover most of the replacement cost. Sorry Giannis, I meant to quote you but new to site and still getting a handle on features
