It's always worth dropping in to the C&J factory shop when passing as it is only open for such a short time. I hadn't planned to go today but was close by and dropped in. Found a pair of Dark Brown Scotch Grain Islay boots in my size, so a purchase was necessary. Was told they very rarely get the Islay in the Factory shop and were surprised when they found them in the Stock this morning. Apparently they don't last long when they do appear (1hr after opening was todays result).
If only I lived closer. They are exactly what I am after. I have already returned an 11 and now have to sell a lightly used 10.5 due to incorrect sizing. I tried on a 10 in Rogersons and although their last felt a little different, they seemed a better size for me.

so you went with half a size smaller. Interesting as C&J suggested me to take a uk 10.5, as I told them I only have one british pair which is uk 10G.

I definitely would not size up. Most take a half size down in this last and I think I may be the exception who needs a whole size smaller

Finally, if this might be of the interest of some of you, they have answered me from CJ directly. The have told me that their main line classic shoe trees are made specificly and exactly for their 325 last (which is the last of the pembroke/ grasmere and other shoes).

PSA: Barneys sale just went live with a handful of C&Js included. I would have gotten the Highbury if they had my size. Sedgemoor buck looks pretty good if you're in the market for one.

I've actually had decent luck in the past. Bought the C&J Clifford during a sale there for 1/2 off and the Wicklow for over 1/2 off.

Hmm, they've added a few more since I first checked this morning ...
Is the "Two Eye Chukka" the Tetbury? I think I'm gonna take a chance on that.

Trafford = Exmoor?
