    Edward Green Newbury (with Medallion)

Mine will be in F606. I am almost sure I'll like it (I have not yet regretted any of the EG purchases I have made)

    Edward Green Newbury (with Medallion)

From the EG pin-up catalogue, it looks like it's similar to the C&J Weymouth. Is there anyone who owns or knows about both the shoes give some comments? Thank you.

    Edward Green sale

I called EG a few days ago and apparently their computer was down so they would not be to respond to any E-mail for now.

    Silk knot cuff links

I have quite a few pairs of silk knots from Jantzen's and they are not bad at all. The knots are slightly smaller than those from TM Lewin and Polo Ralph Lauren but as far as I can see, the quality is comparable. I bought them at the shop (he has a full big bowl of them) and at HK$20 - slightly...

    Drakes & Breuer's Ties

I have a few Breuer's ties and they are among the favourites in my collection. I am not sure if they are from the same line as what you guys see but mine seem to be of good quality. They cost much less here in Singapore - equivalent of about US$54 at full retail at Takashimaya. I have seen them...

    Hanging trousers

I have use trouser/skirt hangers (with clips) from Carrefour (Suntec City). I think they are about S$1.00 each. And hang my trsouers by their cuffs - the creases are kept quite sharp even after a few wears.

    Ebay Zegna suit from china?

threadstarter, I think the others have given their thoughts and you have decided not to go ahead with the purchase. But still, I'd like to give my 2 pennies' worth. The font used for the words "Ermenegildo Zegna" is not the same as the one used in originals.

    Custom trousers

And Jantzen makes a decent pair of trousers too. And you probably don't have to spend USD 250.00 for most of them - he has a wide selection of swatches for you to pick. I have some made and they are quite good (but I had been personally measured up by Ricky at the shop).

    Jantzen - for women?

Yes, I have a few female friends who have made shirts at Jantzen. The shirts fit very well indeed. (They all had their measurements personally taken at the shop by Ricky or David). It is not at all uncommon to see female customers in the shop.

    Beijing bespoke?

Personally, I don't think you are able to get something bespoke or even close to bespoke for that money in Beijing. In fact, it's not easy to get anything bespoke at all. There are a few tailors scattered around: in Kerry Centre (an upscale Shopping Centre and Hotel), in a hotel called...

    Permanent Crease?

I also know of a tailor who has a machine to create permanent creases in pants. The process sort of involves using a liquid to stick a really small strip (say a millimeter) of fabrics on both sides of a crease together. Apparently, the process takes all of 5 minutes. This (possibly patented)...

    Is the Styleforum site slow

I used to love how each page of Styleforum loaded in a fraction of a second. For close to a week now, I have noticed that the speed has slowed down significantly - so much so that it is like the old days at Ask Andy's site. The Ask Andy site now, conversely, is extremely fast on my PC. Is what...

China's speciality cities rule textile industry

(DATANG, China) YOU probably have never heard of this factory town in coastal China, and there's no reason you should have. But it fills your sock drawer. Necktie capital: Entrepreneurship has flourished and boosted local economies as networks of inter-dependent businesses spring up in the...
