I like Guy Ritchie movies (mostly) and, two episodes in, this is looking at least as good as the movie.View attachment 2145193
Started this last night. Typical Guy Ritchie British crime thriller/comedy. If you liked Snatch, Lock Stock, etc. (and the movie the series is based on), it will likely appeal to you. I’m a fan of those films and enjoy Ritchie's dialogue so even though it’s as far from realistic as you can get, it's well produced and acted and entertaining so far.
Watched Tokyo Vice S1 the past couple of weeks. Pretty good show but Jake Adelstein character is a complete fvcking moron. Dude lived in Japan for several years before taking his entrance exam to the newspaper and he's still doing stupid cultural sh1t that even a tourist who's been there for a day would pick up on.
Police- there are no murders in Japan!
Jake- but the guy was just murdered. What do you mean?
Police- there are no murders in Japan because we said so.

I'm watching it. At least the white guy in shogun isn't as stupid as the white guy in Tokyo Vice.Anyone else watching Shogun? First show I've looked forward to new episodes weekly in a while.
Not as heavy with "old pros" as the movies but still a fun series.I like Guy Ritchie movies (mostly) and, two episodes in, this is looking at least as good as the movie.
To be clear, though- he is still exceedingly stupid. At least the white guy in shogun isn't as stupid as the white guy in Tokyo Vice.
