I've never owned anything bespoke before but I'm now obsessed with the idea of bespoke shoes from Alexandria (I'll even cross the river for that). If you were going to choose a bespoke shoe, what would you get?
If I may, I think the best bet for bespoke is asking yourself what do you wear the most. It’s a personal question. I’d caution against doing anything crazy.
Without knowing you, I’d probably start with a black or brown cap toe Oxford. That would be my default. However, that was not my first order. There’s a general rule that you shouldn’t order a loafer first but not every shoemaker feels that way. I went with a loafer because that’s what I wear most often & it wasn’t an issue for my shoemaker.
Consult with drew first, and proceed from there. That’d be my best advice. Hope this helps.
