I can't think of a single major purchase I've successfully made through that site.
Not even the Corben?
Can someone compare the fit of the Grants with the fit of the Mackays?
The fit should be near identical since both shoes are designed on the 888 last.
It really all depend on the shape of your foot, and especially your instep. I find that they fit differently because I have a high instep so monkstraps (or loafers) feel tighter than a lace-up, with which I can lace a slightly more open V and accomodate my foot's shape.
Thanks for the feedback. I have a low instep, so the Mackays fit pretty well -- I can lace them up with the two sides about 1/4" apart. I was concerned that the unusual buckle placement of the Grants may make them fit more like a slip-on than a lace-up, but it sounds like I should take the same size in both shoes. I've ordered already, and if doesn't fit, the Polo store is a short metrorail ride away for a return.
