Good feedback. I have a plain black tie in raw silk that will play the part but I am trying to introduce the more questionable items in my wardrobe (in this case the patterned black tie) for feedback on acceptable ways of using them.

TBH, I don't like the pattern on your tie, but that may be just down to personal taste. A raw silk or a knit with, say, an oxford shirt would be best with that suit, IMO. That said, your tie certainly isn't bad here.

i think the red hand would be great with the shirt above and green, or brown and green tie.

My take on Stitchy's suggestion. Since a fit like this is quite remote of what I usually do (in terms of colours and pattern combinations), I'm wondering what the Honourable Members of the Good Taste Jury think of this?

^I like it but it has a fall/winter vibe if you subscribe to seasonality of combos.

Thanks gents. Yeah, I'm just in the southern hemisphere, so you could say it's autumn. But here in the tropics we don't really have seasons, except for the rainy season. But I do miss that, dressing according to season, so now I just make up my own

Thread seems moribund. I first posted here about a year ago, and got slammed.

Thought I might pop back for another slamming. Good taste, or too much pattern clash?

Love the pocket square - who's the maker, if you don't mind me asking?

Trying to keep things in good taste and still summery at Pitti Uomo is a challenge given the peer pressure to dress like a clown to attract the blogger lenses (thanks to A&H Mag and @EFV for snapping photos, and to lovely Erica for significantly improving that pic with her presence)
