Any word that ends in 'ness' that has a more effective and aesthetically pleasing adjectival form that does not end in 'ness.' I really hate it when people say that something is 'the coolness' or what have you. The 'coolness' is the quality of cool. Something that is cool has 'coolness'. Something that is wet has 'wetness'. And so on. Even used in a grammatically proper way, you still sound like an idiot.

I hate the term 'mines' when people use it.

"That's mines."
"I like mines better than yours."

argh!

I love it when dumb people throw "flabbergasted" into their sentence in an attempt to sound somewhat intellectual.

Not a word, but I hate how people refer to any scandal with the suffix "-gate".
