New season of True Detective started out great. I’ve enjoyed every season but S1 was the best by far. This one looks amazing so far. Love the location.

I finished watching Season 2 of Reacher last night. It was an entertaining view, but not as good as Season 1. Problems: Too much focus on the supporting cast rather than Reacher, no usage of Reacher's vaunted skills of deduction that were showcased in Season 1, underwhelming villain AM who was barely present the entire season. I hope these issues are resolved in Season 3.

New season of True Detective started out great. I’ve enjoyed every season but S1 was the best by far. This one looks amazing so far. Love the location.

I loved S1, everything after was a pale comparison. I have high hopes for this one....

Also watched Echo (D+ Marvel show) I really enjoyed it.... Definitely the most adult Marvel show to come out on D+ (in line with the NEtflix series when they had some marvel character)

Finally finished Reacher. 3 new characters introduced, all former special ops personnel and all 3 just had no problem murdering a bunch of US citizens and were cool with executing 4 former military members at the tail end.

The series doesn't have characters, it has video game avatars in various set pieces doing shite. Nothing that happened yesterday matters, actions have no consequences and honor is showed by the avatars talking about how honorable they all are. Reacher, presented as the most loyal friend ever, doesn't even show up to his "friends" funerals because he doesn't do funerals? The f-ck?

It could be mindless fun if the characters acted with even a semblance of consistency. At least drop the "ultimate law officer do-right things honorable man" act so I can enjoy a psychopath tearing everything apart in an orgasm of murder and violence.
