Man, I had to work 2 weeks just to get a pair of Girbaud jeans.
Never wore Cavaricci, thankfully.
Pair of Girbaud jeans with a coca cola shirt... stylin'.

These were the naive years before we realized we were advertizing for a **** soda brand for free.

I had this one:

I did not, however, wear it ironically.

Apparently I am old, I wore Sear's Toughskins in elementary school :) We didn't have those fancy, designer jeans back in my day.

Toughskins and Buster Browns. The Panta and EG of my youth.

I was also a Toughskin wearer in elementary school, and Levis twill jeans (school's uniform) in middle and high. For weekend/party wear in the 80's, I took my cues from Miami Vice.

I didn't own any Cavariccis but since I was a skater/surfer dude in the early 90's, I had the equivalent Jimmy'z, which I wore with Tevas or Doc Martens depending on the formality, lol. Nonetheless, I mostly wore surfer/skater brand shorts and tees during that era.

Once, in 4th grade I showed up to school in checkered pants and oh man was I ripped to shreds. Imagine a kid (me) walking across the school yard for morning line up and having a growing crowd of humiliators around me all sounding off about my mom's choice for my pants. By the time I got to my line there were about 14 kids surrounding me. It went on all day.

I had no idea (still dont) why those pants were SO wrong, but I didnt wear them again.

It was the 70's.

Quiana and other forms of polyester.

These in double knit but with 2 inch cuffs and Cuban heels.
This is what I THOUGHT I looked like, sans the tan.

Fortunately for us all, there is no known photographic record
of what I actually looked like.

I really wanted girbaud jeans, but we couldn't afford them. :( Or a Hypercolor shirt, weren't those like 100 bucks?

I love that they're "anti-establishment" pants. Stickin' it to The Man!

I had a healthy wardrobe of skate T's, mainly Powell Peralta and Zorlac in the late 80's, early 90's which I alternated with my metal band and surf brand T's... :embar:
