I had a DB blazer made in the bottom sample in your swatch picture.

Doesn't wrinkle easily, breathes nicely in warm weather and looks so clean.

Looks great! Is yours also herringbone? If so, does that affect the breathability at all (since it's a tighter weave)?

Anyone have any experience with Standeven Montrose Bay? Saw this and thought it looked and felt very nice for a summer jacket.

Yes, it's herringbone. I have no comparison to cloth with similar composition but looser weave. It certainly wears warmer than pure linen in a plain weave.

One heck of a first post.

Thank you, sir. Have learned much from other members here. Happy ro contribute.

I like herringbone linen as it is slightly more versatile. You can wear it here in Australia during the winters. A 4 season cloth IMO for the Australian context.

recently commissioned a sb suit in this LP cord (88% cotton, 10% wool, 2% elastane). i was a little hesitant about the 2% elastane but i really like the color (sort of a brown/green). does anyone have any positive/negative experiences with cord with stretch?

That color looks great. Would you mind posting the details on the cloth? Thanks.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
