i like the rolexrolexrolex rehauts. :)

Whaaat?!?

I know they really don't make a big difference IRL (outside of macro photography), I mostly oppose them on a conceptual level: Too gimicky overbranding smacking of VULGARI.

I've seen it explained that it's to deter counterfeiting, but I believe that could've been accomplished more tastefully.

YMMV, naturally :)

Sorry to bring this thread down, but would you consider this a dressy watch?

Honestly, I find those part-skeleton dials very tacky and associate them with fashion watches and nasty "hommages". Nothing against Orient, but I think if you want an economical dress watch, then a cleaner dial is the way to go - and Orient have them too.

Unless there's a tourbillon or something awesome to show off, I think displays of the movement should take place through the rear. :)

P.S. Keith: surely Panerai belongs on a Fiorentina shirt? :p

Ah, the Old Lady of Turin...responsible for one of the happiest nights of my football-watching life.

An old companion, with me since 1995

Nice watch. I respect their heritage and the people who wear them but I get lost in the madness that is the Navitimer. I'd touch the wrong pusher and initiate the detonation sequence and know I messed up.

As for the Orient above, I have never understood the random cutout on the dial. Like Mimo said, unless it is showing off the grand complication, leave the peeping to the case back.
