Got a question for all you Bond-nato strap nuts: I picked up this one from Broadarrow:
1000

and I thought it was black and grey. when I got it in I saw it looks more like navy/grey/red. So, I emailed the guy and asked why the Bond strap didn't look more like the black/grey jobbies that I always see pictures of. Like this:
1000

And he says that the first strap is more representative of the movie and the second style is being phased out. I swear I've never seen a bond pic with a blue/red/navy color like that. Thoughts?

hes correct. bond never wore the black/grey. It looks like it, but the ones you received are correct. navy, oliveish grey, and thin red stripes.

very nice.
green face and bezel?

Yes, although the face changes colour depending on the light and often looks black. But it's not the 50th anniversary sub which has a black face and green bezel.

it should be, congrats on the LVC!

:) thanks!

I love this submariner with the green. And where do you buy braclets like that? You know some good website, want some :)

The bead bracelet is from Style Forum's HomerJ -- he custom makes them (great quality and price). The woven leather strap is from "Leather Braiding by John" -- also custom made and great quality.

If you look at the corvus link I posted earlier in this thread, it should be pretty clear...

When it comes to my Rolex GMT II, I only purchase quality bands. I can't put my trust into cheapies...just a little piece of mind.

It's just a strap, which most people get bored from after a while. So no point in spending alot on it. It's replaceable... just a little piece of mind.

I totally get it. I meant no disrespect whatsoever brother. I also have a Luminox that I switch out Nato bands for. I'm not not too concerned with price for that time piece. But with my expensive watches...I spend a little more money on those bands. :D

i agree....and as much as i love my NATOs, i feel a little strange putting a $10 strap on a $7K watch.
