Roman numerals on a precision time measuring device seem incongruous to me
Hm, I could see that, but the railroad track with its corresponding hash marks just behind the hour indicators allows for precision.
Yes, I'm one of those people who has never been a fan of the use of Romans on the Datograph, but it is still a great watch with a fantastic movement! Cheers!
Cheers! Yes, the movement is the reason to buy this watch. I spent most of this weekend with a loupe admiring it as I activate, stop, and reset the chronograph. It's really amazing. And fortunately, there is the up/down version for those who dislike Romans .
One thing that surprised me is how well the watch wears. In the pic above, I had on a dress shirt, and it fit nicely under my cuffs. Its understated elegance works with both business and casual attire. This could be a One Watch contender, if one were inclined to have only one watch (I'm not).
