It probably means "Stylish" in Hungarian. Or something.

Great input as always J!

I'll go for wholecut in oxblood on the U-last.

If only I could make my mind up with regards to medallion or not...

Thanx also for the tip on cobbler. Need to try them out for the next resole.

I spent a couple of hours in their store last week. I tried all available shoes in all available last they have to determine my sizing. I ended up getting a couple of shoes (new Peter last and F last). Before actually trying on any of their shoes, like probably majority of the posters here, thinks U last looks the best. Peter last and F last seems to be the most versatile.

I think last depends on model. For a full brogue or a cap toe I would go for the F-last, for a wholecut or a double monk a more aggressive last, like U or K.
In the end, it is obviously all a matter of personal preference.

Really like my F-lasted shoes. Time will show if that goes for my ordered U-last shoes as well.

Does Vass use a cork footbed that conforms to the shape of one's feet, the way AE shoes are supposed to?

Pardon my ignorance.

Does anyone know how much a pair of chukkas in shell cordovan cost? Rezso quoted me 950 euros. That seems a little high, though. Perhaps he was referencing something else.

There has been a price increase in both their MTO price and the cordovan price, so €950 would not be that far off.

When did the price increase happened? I was there last week and prices are way less than that.
