rodaman,

Despos is Chris Despos - a high end bespoke tailor in Chicago. He probably knows more about clothes and fitting than 99% of the folks here. If he says it, I would believe it.

I saw someone wearing a tweed blazer with buttons on the single vent...very unique look. Has anyone seen it available anywhere. Felt weird to approach him to ask where he purchased it.

^ That sounds interesting. Never be afraid to approach a man in tweed. Tweed lovers are some of the nicest people in the world.

Really though, you could have that added to any tweed you wanted, for relatively cheap too.

I saw a dude wearing a nice looking tweed jacket on the subway the other day, asked him about it, and ended up having an interesting 10 minute conversation with a friendly guy. In my experience asking someone who is well dressed about what they're wearing will almost always garner a positive response and an interesting conversation, as people who have good taste are flattered when other people notice and comment, and are generally pretty happy to go into exhaustive detail on whatever it is you asked them about.
