Guy should sleep in that jacket for a couple of nights to loosen it up, way too stiff for tweed. And when you don't cut sleeve ends on the bias, they end up looking like that. I won't bother to mention that I don't care for tweeds cut with a plunging neckline like that one, so I won't mention it.

:-D

I agree about the sleeve ends.

There's something off about this. It might be the color. I think if it were in stone combination of browns, greens or reds, it might look better.
To me what's off are the egregious prosthetic-like Huntsman shoulders with roping no less.

Color looks very "city" to me, it'd look better on a standard sport coat than such a garment.

I would agree, grey is not the typical colour for the countryside (I wouldn't have any hesitation in wearing the style in the city though), yet I appreciate somehow that contrast and also think that the jacket would pair nicely with brown, forest green or even mustard cords.

Those shoulders are in conflict with the country nature of the jacket. That in conjunction with the colors are the root of the "offness".

BTW, the shoulders wouldn't bother me if they were in a worsted wool suit or sports coat.

Pretty hot on a soccer mom, though!

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
