Another fan here - I buy mine from Bookster who other than being incapable of keeping to deadlines are very good and have a very good choice of fabrics.

Love that jacket!! This weekend was the first in a long time that the temp dropped below 80. I have an old tweed and new Saxxon wool coat and several cashmere/wool trousers on-deck for cooler weather!!

I am looking for a SC similar to the one in the pic of Nick Wooster above, black and white herringbone (pref Harris) soft shoulder, etc....If Bookster can make me something like that, I am in.!

Bear in mind they specialize in traditional english shoulders, so don't expect something like Isaia shoulders. (I don't have one though, so this is not based on experience, just assumptions) But it looks to be constructed soft enough for me to give it a try

I have an amazing Brooks Brothers Tweed sport coat that has a quilted inside liner. Its a versitle piece because it can be used formally as a SC or casually as an outerwear piece. I'll post some pictures of mine tomorrow but for now, a stock picture of it:

Pure wool woven in England. Three-button, side vent and three-eights edge stitch. The insulated diamond lining offers the versitility of a sport coat and outerwear piece. Removable throat latch can be sorted on interior buttons. Regent fit which is a contemporary fit with trimmer chest and back width and a higher armhole. This is a great thread--thanks, Spoo! I love Harris Tweed in all of its incarnations, but especially the more striking and rare designs, like the tweed of this canvassed 3/2 sack that's currently in my possession:



(and since this jacket is, er, available to leave my possession if anyone would like it, to make this post far less self-serving I'll be happy to give a very decent discount on it to anyone who comes to it from this thread!)

Not Harris, but a rather softer tweed suit from H. Freeman, that's just left my possession:



(The pictures don't show this, but the tweed is flecked very, very slightly with moss-green.)

Teaser of two of my RL coats. The one on the left is lambswool & has elbow patches and the one on the right has hacking pockets a ticket pocket and a throat latch. Both side vented.
