Some of my stuff today. Sorry for the flash lightning picking up my new light set tomorrow (finally). It's not as good as most people who post here do, but I adventured a bit to find this stuff.

Southwick Blazer

Armani 100% Silk

Southwick Tweed

BB Tweed

Canali Proposta Wool/Cotton

Samuelsohn Suit

Vestimenta DB

Uniqlo Blazer (for myself)

Paul Stuart (Samuelsohn)

Holland & Sherry Savile Row

From top to botton: Polo Ralph Lauren Made in Italy, Allen Edmond Suede, Tralf Cortina

Dunhill, Dunhill, Talbott, Hardy Amies Savile Row, Culwell & Son (Dallas Store) I think it's by Hickey Freeman, BB Makers, BB Makers, BB Makers, Barneys New York Made in Italy

Zegna, Aquascutum, Polo RL, Gitman Bros (green tag), J Crew, PRL, PRL, J Crew, Talbott NWT, Talbott NWT, Talbot NWT, Hickey Freeman, Hickey Freeman

So I know almost nothing about shoes. I pick up safe ones like Allen Edmonds and other such that gets posted around here if I can find them, but I usually shy away from Florsheim and Cole Haan because I don't know what to look for. I picked up these Johnston and Murphys because they looked awesome. Suede and Leather, Made in Italy. Was this a good pick up?

And just like that, the search for the perfect waxed cotton jacket ends.

Edit: This was not a thrift store find, I scooped this off the SW&D B&S for a song, completely paid for with thrift funds. **** I love this hobby!

Just a couple things today. Stores were a ghost town compared to most weekends. There were more people there at 10 am on a Friday than at 3:30 on a Saturday afternoon. Must be a lot of people going out of town or up to the cabins to close up shop for the season. Either way, things were still super picked over. Managed to get a couple things.

Wings & Horns slubby chambray S/S. Made in Japan. Keeper.

RLPL lightweight gray flannel trousers. Single pleat. 32 x 29 (+2" to let out in the inseam).

Thanks...actually, I just found the buttons packaged in an envelope inside the sleeves. $20, and for b&s, as I haven't dealt with eBay for quite some time.

EDIT: why u laughin, cap? I don't have to buy suits for work, praise jeebus.

Lol, I think Wes was laughing cuz he thought you were joking.

I just can't quit thrifting

Hmmm, how large is that large? More pics?!
Saw some interesting things in a thrift today... First Alden's I have seen outside of a regular retail environment, new in box, priced at 400 fricking dollars. In a thrift - as if anyone is gonna walk in and pay that. Slew of Narcisco Rodriguez dresses, all NWT but spattered with ink stains - originally like $1500 each but worthless. Used Tyrwhitt shirts for $25 each. Tyrwhitt trench for $125. Pringle sweater with holes for $50. US-made "Burberry's" orphan SC's for $100. Mexican-made Z Zegna suit for $900. Apparently someone at this thrift has the interwebs but no idea how thrift stores are supposed to (or maybe used to?) work...

I did grab one thing there - Dunhill Italy (older Zegna I think) SC with issues, for button harvesting (the ones with the little "d" logo - a set currently on eBay for $470 OBO [not that they would ever sell for anywhere near that much]).

There are some very beautiful pieces in that pile!!!

Oh, you must be up in my neck of the woods....

No thrifting for me today, gents. On baby duty while the wife and kids go to a baptism. Hopefully I will get a chance to start the trouser experiment.

That was 11 stores. Still a lot I haven't photographed, or chose to leave out.

... Only 11 stores? Dayum. I can hit 11 stores and come out with maybe 2-3 regular size grocery bags full if I'm lucky. Columbus is definitely a thrifting wasteland (though with flashes of good stuff once in awhile).

Also, how do you break up the photography monotony? I saw you refer to taking 900 pics, but it seems like after I do photos for like 10-12 items (around 100-150 pics) I just can't stand it anymore. Maybe I should ask that in the ebay thread I know is floating around somewhere... harrumph. ;)
