Very proud dad- My youngest daughter, realizing that thrifting is paying her college bills, has decided to actually thrift for flip when she comes along with me. Came up with these:

And because I'm ******* nuts, I dragged my wife to walnut Creek to meet up some dude with 3 unused Tumi luggage tags for $10. I mean, you can't rock a vintage Tumi without the damn tag!

Some random glasses. the black nerdy frames were $3. Look to be 1950s Tart Optical FDR. One day, I get some blue or purple sunglass lenses for them, but my prescription ain't cheap. The angular ones are Article One Mozambique for $5.

They looked blurry when I tried them on so figured they didn't have a prescription... But my a wife said "wow, those are prescription!". Well, that's actually a good thing... They are like half the power of my blind ass... But good for poolside and such.

I mention poolside, because the next glasses are brown 1960s French frames. The fucked up lenses are what you get when you dare even get a mist of salt water or chlorinated water on the anti reflective coating. I can't get an optometrist to not put that crap on!

Last up are my trusty Persol 3012v. Originally reading glasses now prescription sunglasses. The coating is starting to get screwed too. And I was careful man!

On the last few weeks here of my New Zealand adventure. Sleeping 10am to 5 pm is turning me into a mutant (have to keep up with US work hours), but I've enjoyed it.

Stopped at a thrift on my way to get groceries. Had a theme of indigo dye only going.
  • New Edwin Japan 55 button fly chino in a light indigo dyed dobby cotton. Available 34 x 33.
  • Saturday Surf NYC lightweight indigo dyed cotton with a sashiko stitch dot pattern. Available large.
  • Uniqlo indigo linen shirt. Scooping up all the Japanese market large Uniqlo here as I've got the same body dimensions as a fat Asian apparently. NA.
Bonus picture of a beautiful view I saw here .

All the Toronto guys, had a few interesting finds today, let me know if anyone’s interested. They’re not my size.
