I bought a size 40 of these off of user Losrockets back in the fall and as someone who normally wears a slim 38, the size 40 was an ideal fit given how slim these were. A 38, I suspect, would have been too narrow.

I think you’ll find this fits you perfectly. That particular Epaulet model could have went a size up and worn it as most would.

Not specifically Epaulet, but I have a couple brand new Hertling trousers if anyone is interested. Both 33 straight fit, unaltered with a 36" inseam, side tabs, no pleat.

BNWT Ep x Hertling Taylor in Olive Twill. Size 32" hemmed to 30" with 2" cuffs. Never worn, Hertling tag still attached.
I have these in Navy as well! Also NWT and same exact specs.
Taylors rule! I have several pair however these are the last of my 32's; I've given up on the dream of going down one waist size. Life is too short.
