@97laxlude they aren’t as slim/narrow as the Chelsea imo. Chelsea’s are the only CP I’ve felt like I had to go true to size on (I wore 45s in them and 44s in everything else, although it seems like bballs are smaller/narrow now as well).

do you not get heel-slip when you tie them like that?

i have to tie mine all of the way to the top or else the weight of the sole/boot keeps them from being secured to my foot (and i definitely sized properly)

-

on another note, those are the 2017 model (i.e. before they started using plastic-y, **** leather, like on the 2171), so definitely a great buy for any prospective buyers

def hop on em quickly if they're your size

I don’t get any heel slippage in them anyway, I just like tying them this way. I tie my virgils and other laced boots the same way.

Does anyone *not* size down for Achilles? I got my TTS and it is slightly long, but a full size down might be too much. I’m normally an 11 and got a 44; not sure how much these loosen.

I go TTS in the Achilles, always have. I suspect many of the painful break ins some guys experience is due to sizing down, when they probably shouldn’t have or they needed the non-existent half size.

Fransboonestore got some great CP deals. Use the code FINAL50%. They still have my all the time fav achilles low model in stock (sizes 41 and 46). I wore this pair more often than plain whites.

This model was called achilles low special edition. They released only black and white colors back in 2016. I liked both a lot. Black ones were really cool. The finish could have been rubberised as End says. https://www.endclothing.com/eu/common-projects-achilles-low-special-edition-2028-0506.html

I kept mine in a good condition but I've seen beaten up pairs that didn't look ugly. Here is a picture of them (left) next to brand new white achilles lows (middle) and achilles low gummy white (right). Gummy didn't age well at all.

disappointing quality on these recently purchased Achilles low (AW19) - never seen this before and kind of wondering how this happened in production and was not picked up QC. if you wondering the left-hand pair are perfect. I believe the leather is glued to an inner membrane or against the exterior leather - not sure if these wrinkles will come out although you don't see you know it's there. can you iron leather?

I understand that the shoes are an investment but it is exterior and no one can see it. Once you break them in and get some wear on the outside maybe this QC error will slip your mind? That's always how I feel, I usually get over stuff like this once I actually get some wear into my shoes.

Also is it the taupe colorway? I love it

It’s on the inside and it’s a non issue for the most part. Don’t iron your shoes, no. Also, the leather was just most likely clicked from a different part of the hide or a different hide altogether. The softness/function is more important than the visual of a liner piece of leather
