just 1-1.5k for a windbreaker that fits the same* as vintage windbreakers is a bit...

It reminds me of a red Nike windbreaker I had about 15 years ago. One side was basically all red with the top 1/3 a very dark indigo and the other side was patterned in those two colors. Of course Nike has released so many windbreakers over the years so finding a picture is impossible, but these were incredibly popular here during that time.

Also they were way cheaper than the Celine offering of course.

I think that Celine, just like SL, Bottega V and Gucci, is now using the outlet channel to get rid of overstock. Sales are not compatible with premium image.

Seems that way - SLP indeed is a concession at more and more retailers like Mr P/Matches - which means no sale - the unsold merchandise is just returned to them.

I could've sworn that ysl.com had a private sale last season, but that it didn't go public the way they used to. I think bottega and Gucci have never had sales, but I could be wrong about that.
