Suede Indy boots (milkshake, tan, navy) on any sole with a seersucker suit would be stunning

Good call, totally forgot about that. They would look killer; that's what happens when you make blanket statements. :embar:

^ Thanks for the great input everyone!

On another note, I'm now heading to the hospital for the (scheduled) birth of my first child, a baby girl. If I ever have a son, I just might name him Alden. My choice of footwear today? Ravello PTB, maiden voyage as well :)

interesting - do you have a foot condition as well or was this a pure fashion/functional choice for you? I can see how having the lacing going all the way down to the toes would make for a comfortable shoe. It does look a bit like a bowling shoe.
I got those years ago. I used to stand all day on a trading floor and they were very comfortable. Standing all day in leather soles can be a killer on the feet!! But that's me....

Those were probably the most comfortable Alden shoe ever. Extra soft soles and soft padded linings. I had them in loden green myself. We sold them in white and tan suede in the past.

Congrats on the baby girl!! On a far less serious - yet still important - note, congrats also on the ravello ptb's. They are one of my favorite Alden shells.

Congratulations on the baby!

May I ask where you picked up the ravello's?
