I personally don't think a black LHS would be useful.

I don't reach for it much, but when I am wearing charcoal wool slacks in the winter, nothing else that I own pairs better. (I recommend the unlined version).

I've always fancied the suede bal, but can't seem to find a good use for one. If I'm wearing clothes that require bals, it seems too casual. If I'm wearing more casual attire, a bal seems too dressy...

my feeling exactly, hence why my pair on plaza havent been worn yet. im thinking of nice pair navy wool trousers come fall might be the ticket

Snuff Suede, Calf #8, #8 Shell, Whiskey & Cigar LHS - I agree with @tifosi the Black just isn't nearly as versatile as the KING or Cigar.
