To celebrate my new Ravello PTBs, I am going to do Ravello week. Also thought that it would be a great way to start off the new year at work.

First off, Ravello LWB from Alden DC.

I don't have any dress shoes with topys, dainite, minilugs or commando. I know I should avoid the salty wet slush. However, what about just the salt remnants? Things are pretty dried out here but some sidewalks still have mini salt rocks. Should I forego my leather soled shoes?

PS I do have a pair with the flex welt oil sole, though.

Hi guys, I had a question for you. I'm in the market for a PTB and have come across these 2 options: Navy PTB Alden x J.Crew #8 Shell Cordovan PTB Which one would you choose and why? I have never owned any shell cordovan items and am unfamiliar with their care. I plan on wearing these both in a business casual environment, as well as on the weekend with jeans. I fear that with the shell, they'd be more suited for the work environment than with jeans? Thanks for all your help!
Go with the color 8 shell PTB. Then consider about 40 other models before the navy one. :D

#8 shell is much more versatile.

hi, I have both pairs. I would recommend the shell ptbs. classic pair which you can wear with jeans and/or business casual all work week long. the navy jcrew works well with chinos. I wear khakis a couple of times a week so the navy works for me.

Reveille, my recomendation is to purchase the PTB in shell cordovan first as others have said. You won't find a more versatile shoe especially in color 8. I have the color 8 and the black shell.

I was lucky and found the PTB in whiskey at Alden SF. They are on their way to me.
