What is that? The Dearborn boot?

I do wish Alden would make more boots on the Aberdeen last....

I don't think I could pull of a George boot but those are nice looking!

Phew! Do they still make mahogany? I never see shoes or lists for that shade.

The NST and blue just goes so well. I really need to get some blue suede from Alden. There is a J Crew version I'm watching which looks really nice.
They don’t make mahogany often. Aoc and Brick & Mortar had a run about a year ago. They made NST bluchers and Indys. But, just a few pairs each.
I would add, there are older shades of ravello that look VERY similar to mahogany.

Late to the TSM Party tonight, the only thing I was hoping would appear, did appear, but not in my size. Oh well, saved myself some $$$ and will wait for the next drop of #8 NST's.

Here’s a couple google pix which I am unsure of the age or owners care routine. I think shoe trees and a deer bone would surely mitigate what we see here. But imo, the rolls here would look bad with a tux.

Thanks - I didn’t find those particular pics before, and they are helpful. I think I’m leaning towards calf, and will have to find an excuse to buy cordovan another time.

They don't look like seconds, they look used, and also terrible

There's a whole world of Alden Orthopedic shoes for people with foot problems. The catalog used to be online but seems they've removed it.

I wandered by for the first day open of the new Alden retailer in Raleigh - Ealdwine. Good to see my/our friends get their new adventure started!

Keep an eye out for the 270 welt to keep it more formal. There are one or two out there with a 360.

Very cool!
Some comments:
1. Sweet open site drain!
2. Oh! A black Atom!
3. Ugh...a snuff Indy on leather with 270 welt! That's what I've been wanting.
4. Is that a green suede Atom on the far end of the last pic next to the snuff long wing???

I think it is - they have several Atom builds. First time I've seen one IRL and I really like it.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
