Aberdeen, and down half a size to lessen heel slipping.

I have seen stores other than Brooks sell tassel loafers with foxing. But not shell. Unionmade is one example.

I go TTS Alden Shell Aberdeen Shell then down one width on this last to avoid sloppiness in heal fit. My 2 cents. I measure inbetween 9.5D and 9.5C Branstock...

ahh what was to be of the EP ryden boot.. do you know the shop they were originally made for?

These were for Leffot, from their 2014 run I think. I believe he posted them up on r/gyw a while back.

ahh I was thinking of those, since it appears crepe sole.

I'm still waiting to drop my EP ryden's off to try and convert to antique. Not sure about the welt but will lean to Aram's suggestion

Yea, other retailers can make tassels with foxing but not on aberdeen last. I know becuz I tried to have a retailer made a run of suede tassels on Aberdeen with foxing but the factory refused...such a shame..

Unionmade is selling black calfskin tassel loafers with heel foxing on the Aberdeen last, or so their website shows.

Maybe suede and foxing is the sticking point, because Brooks does sell a mocha kid suede makeup with foxing on the Aberdeen last. I own a pair. I have sort of fallen for mocha kid suede.

Do unlined cordovan shoes wrinkle easier or show their wrinkles more than the regular lined models? I have not owned any unlined models before and I'm considering purchasing a pair but am concerned. They are bluchers and I have heard that unlined shell appears pretty wrinkly in only a few wears. I'm not a fan of lots of shell rolls and always tree my shoes and brush them regularly to minimize the rolls/wrinkles. Any and all information would be greatly appreciated.

I actually almost posted this exact same question on the shell cordovan thread the other day, despite owning some lined and unlined shell - more as a way to see if my experience is typical or not.

I own two pairs of unlined Rancourt shell penny loafers, and four pairs of C&J lined shell shoes/boots (no Alden . . . yet). I have actually noticed that the unlined loafers seem to crease/wrinkle less than my lined shell. Now, perhaps that is due to the different manufacturers or perhaps related to some ostensible difference in the way I wear/treat the shoes, but I cannot identify any other variable between the two type of shoes.

I've got an Alden, Allen Edmonds and a Rancourt that are unlined. I think they roll less than my lined shell shoes.

@JSO1 will you tell us more about the sweet new Ravello boots or are you just happy to let us suffer in anticipation?

I'm with @coolarrow, I'm wearing my unlined divers (tricked-out by Aram) and I've got the BB unlined LHS's. Both have exhibited less creasing/rolling than my other shell's.
