Honestly, I can see Snuff year-round where Chamois seems more 2.5 seasons for me (Fall/Winter and the fringes on either side). I like my snuff boots with pretty much anything:

Is the shell tassel loafer that Brooks Brothers sells the same at the 563 model, meaning they are on the same last - Aberdeen? If so, do most wear TTS or size down?

I don't know if the last BB uses is actually called Aberdeen but I've owned both and for me, they fit the same. Both TTS.

As Shawn said, they are both on Aberdeen last and the only difference is that the BB version has foxing on the heel and that's exclusive to BB. No other retailer can make a Aberdeen tassels with foxing except BB.

Aberdeen, and down half a size to lessen heel slipping.

I have seen stores other than Brooks sell tassel loafers with foxing. But not shell. Unionmade is one example.

Yea, other retailers can make tassels with foxing but not on aberdeen last. I know becuz I tried to have a retailer made a run of suede tassels on Aberdeen with foxing but the factory refused...such a shame..
