Check out this new model suit made by Konaka (the Mens Warehouse of Japan). When you want to clean the suit, you just take a shower!

But then I realized I'm still on a quest to find hand washable suits for the summer so maybe I should look into this ...

I remember seeing something similar before, but put it up there with the suit in a bag... a suit that fits in a small hand-held bag and comes out wrinkle free. My best friend bought one back when we were in high school for like $200 on vacation, it was kinda neat yet shiny. It was dark gray too. I don't think he ever figured out how to get it back in the bag.

... Also, the machine washable/dryable wrinkle-free suit for travelers. Probably was the same suit my friend bought, sans bag.

I wonder if he still has it.

The kind of things they think of in Japan. A friend of mine who got back from japan last month got herself a portable bidet.

With their bath culture (actually, you wash/shower before entering the bath), the no-toilet-paper-necessary toilets, and shoes taken off at the front door, I think the Japanese are already experts at cleanliness. Now we get another innovation: the wash and wear suit.

I have a couple of thrifted coats from the 50s or 60s that are wash and wear. They're even canvased. Everything must be pre-shrunk. Seems like it shouldn't be that tough to do.

Or something that is pre-shrunk?
