Maiden voyage for these Green shell Strands.

Noticed a poking sensation on the right inner heel on the insoles and thought it was a rock. Took off my shoes and holy moly!!! It's a nail poking through! Gonna notify AE to see if they can correct this.

Looking good!

I had a similar nail in my Randolph F2s this summer. I filed it down. Certainly an inelegant solution, I know.

Might do the same since I'm worried AE may ruin these if they need to remove that nail.

I still think about the time I was stupid and voted for the Landon over the Higgins on the shark/shell special makeup.

I'd be wearing those Higgins right now if they'd been the choice.

Same as last year, I have found myself once again at the Cheesecake Factory picking up my slice of mango key lime cheesecake.

Wearing the mahogany and grey wool St. John’s tonight.

This year has had a ton of ups and a few downs for me this year. My company was bought out (and my stock options along with it), I bought a house, a bought a Porsche, blew up the Porsche, bought a house, got married, and now this week got the bad news that I will need to replace the roof on my house (and that it never should have passed inspection).

Man, I’ve got a bad track record with buying expensive crap for it only to go bad on me. Hopefully the wife doesn’t follow the same trajectory.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
