Talk me out of buying a charcoal gray sport coat

It's a RLBL cashmere sport coat my SA showed to me when I came to pick up the navy version of the coat. It's a fantastic fabric fits very well, and 72% off (60%+30% off), all of which make it difficult to pass up. However, it is a fairly plain charcoal gray coat, which I think I would have a hard time working into my rotation without it looking like an orphaned suit coat. I am sure it would go well with a pair of jeans, but outside of that, I'm having a hard time thinking of good uses for it.

I have only in the last few months bought my first sport coats, I have a BB cashmere/wool navy windowpane (shown below), a RLBL brown wool twill (link), and an RLBL solid navy cashmere. Would this charcoal SC be a good basic or is my instinct right that it will end up being less of a staple than my others? I'm open to any and all input. Thanks!

Do you need 3 of your 4 SCs to be cashmere? What do you wear the rest of the seasons?

How hot is the SA?

Do I need them to be? No. And that's an excellent point. What do I wear the rest of the seasons? Nothing yet. Like I said, I just started buying sport coats. Until two months ago, I had been the typical "wool slacks, Brooks Brothers shirt and crew neck white undershirt" kind of guy. I'm only now getting into and learning about putting together a better look.

The SA is a sweet looking dude, but I don't think my wife would approve me chasing after him.
