Given that the fabric is a blend of linen, do you find that the jacket wrinkles easily? Is it pretty breathable (I live in LA)?

IME, the pure linen jackets and pants do wrinkle over the course of an office day, however they do hang out easily overnight. Breathable in nyc summer humidity so you'll be fine in la.
Keep in mind, I'm speaking on pure linen, not their blends.

I grew up in LA--I bet you are thinking linen right now cuz of the crazy heat wave! It's too bad, really, along with the fires.

Sure it wrinkles some but that is not a problem with any linen I've worn, it's part of the look. I wouldn't even let that be a factor. In terms of breath ability yes it's fine but make sure you know what kind of lining you have for any linen jacket which is a big part of breathability.

Main thing for major wrinkles is to not wear the jacket in the car. Otherwise office seating is fine.

I've worked in parts of east Asia, and I will say, they are a lot smarter by having a very different, even some places mandated dress in the summer. Nobody wears suits but only light short sleeve shirts. They have all the humidity, but I never understood why places here, like in the south, the summer suit is even a thing at all. I know I'm speaking heresy now on style forum.

Do you happen to have any pic of that jacket in real life? I'm also curious how badly it wrinkles, which I'm hoping real life pics will help to show. Thanks!

does anyone own anything from SS in wool/hemp?  Care to explain what the fabric is like?  Thanks

Yep. It's a wonderful fabric. Very soft, almost flannel or cashmere soft. It's lightweight, and relatively breathable. It does wrinkle, but not nearly as much as linen.

If I want a ticket pocket on my suit, and I prefer a wide lapel (peak or notched) are my only option Washington fit? Lazio have a nice lapel, but no ticket pockets. Sienna do have ticket pockets, but they are too small lapels for me.

Any thoughts appreciated! =D

Washington and Sienna are the only suits that have ticket pockets, you can try MTM.

Hi everyone! First of all I hope I'm posting in the right thread, tell me if it is not the case!

Here is my issue. I am French (which means there is no store close to me I can go to!) and i am totally in love with the Washington model. But I have two questions. First of all, I am rather short (1m73) and I have the impression that the jacket is very long! Is it really the case? In the size guide part, do they take the lapels in account for the back length? And my second question is the following, is it worth using the Design Your Own Suit service? Are the suits half-canvassed? What about the materials, are they good?

Thanks a lot for your attention!

Following your comments, I took a deeper look to the photos of the Hudson and the Sienna and I think you are right.

Here is what I initially asked to my local tailor on the Sienna (she did not start the work, so it is still possible to change my demand) vs. what I know believe to be the real issue:

What would be your recommandations?

Many thanks in advance!

Fred

PS: I tried other trousers I have in my wardrobe and it seems this is recurring issue...

First of all, I hope that you get satisfactory results with your tailoring concerns.

I have never seen such a detailed and to the point posting about trouser alterations on this forum. Very cool!

I know there are probably some SuSu people who like Berg and Berg, so as a heads up, they are doing their sale now. I used code I got when I signed up for newsletter and it always works for 10% off: bb10xvg
