So I've done an experiment and I'm now looking for your opinion.

Problem: like many others on this forum, my issue with SS is that it's not possible to do separates. Except for Napoli: I had to go with 102 for the jacket, but 106 for the pants.

Solution: looking at suit measurements, I noticed that the Lazio jacket in 106 had measurements quite similar to that of a Napoli jacket in 102, though with longer sleeves and back (a plus in my case). Pant measurements, however, are similar across lines. So I decided to order a Lazio in 106. Indeed, the pants fit great. I'm less convinced about the jacket. As per the measurements, the Lazio 106 is a little looser than the Napoli 102. The good news is, no need to lengthen the sleeves. But I'm getting conflicting opinions about the look.

My fear is that it looks a little big on me. Thoughts?

I've posted the Napoli darker jacket also for comparison's sake.

Thanks!

Both jackets look nice. Could you please share the links of the products? Thanks.

Just received my new Jort suit today. Great fit ( pics to come) but very disappointed that they have chosen to replace the usual wooden hangers with the cheap plastic ones they udse for their other suits. I have written their customer service but I doubt that will change anything. Strange as the Sienna hanger is still the same. And the suit bag is also inferior to the one from a few years ago. Are they starting to cut corners ? I hope not but I am a bit worried..

I'm thinking SS has started to become too big and so they are cutting corners. They have been using plastic buttons instead of horn in their mid-range suits. They introduced "polymaid" blends intro their fabrics and yes the suit bags are a step down. I'd venture even to say their store experience and sales associates have gotten more "trendy" but this of course is subjective.

All in all for me personally this doesn't really change much seeing that outside of MTO they are still the best option for RTW for the price and fit.

To add on this I even received a plastic hanger rather than a wooden hanger for my recent purchase

(The outlet is closed- seems like it only remains open for a week).

I agree that Suitsupply is starting to drop the ball. I am a regular customer, but here are my main issues with them (from major to nitpicking):

- All prices increased by about 100 bucks in the US. You can order anything cheaper in Europe compared to the US, including Baldwin denim MADE IN THE USA (currently costs about 30 bucks less in Europe).
- Look at the Leager jacket, for instance. Difference of 100 bucks. And you can't ship here from Europe! Looks like they are ripping off US customers, or maybe we are just financing their expansion here?
- Outlet eliminated from the US and they won't let us order from it. We can work around it, but WHY punish the US customers?
- Customer service: have had several problems communicating with them- this could be developed into an entirely different post. I have noticed a dramatic decrease in quality of customer service as of late. They are probably getting busier.
- The store service is still very good, but they just don't make enough of the high demand pieces so that you can actually try them at the store. Interestingly, they put effort into many weird looking pieces that end up stuck in the outlet.
- I am not sure why we have been receiving plastic hangers in some of the orders either. This has happened several times lately.
- The fit is very inconsistent, especially for pants, across the different cuts. I wish they would just stick to one or two cuts so you can order reliably. The new Brentwood fit is awesome for pants. Look at the Leager jacket fit. The sizing is very inconsistent with the other fits. If it stretches, they should say so.
- I love the design picks, but the prices of shoes are just ridiculous for what you get. I have their double monks, and they are just ok (leather quality is inferior and the blake stich doesn't keep water out). But look at the shell cordovan boots. They look beautiful, but the shoe is so badly made you can see the multiple defects clearly when you zoom model shoe pictures on the website! The quality of the shoes is way behind the quality of the suits and jackets. They definitely need to step it up.
- Button quality is indeed variable. I am not sure if this is a design choice, but at least the customer should know what he is buying, as the suitsupply customers are probably interested in the materials.
- Several shirts change the fit dramatically after you wash them- be careful with linen shirts. They are not pre-washed. Also, some extra slim fit shirts are being sold as slim fit.
- Sizing is off or badly described in the size chart for several fits. This was very clearly off in the outlet, especially for Copenhagen jackets.
- Sizing advisor is a complete joke and confuses the customers, causing the company to spend extra in shipping and returns. Bad.
- Lack of suit separates can be a problem for some. They are missing on business from the older crowd or people slightly out of shape by doing this. Having the Napoli in separates is nice, and they should advertise it more.
- This may be too much to ask, but restocking of sizing/items in high demand is always a problem and unpredictable. It would be nice to know if some stuff is going to be restocked or not. For instance, I was interested in the Burgundy Brentwood pants. They were out of stock, and customer service said they had no idea if they were going to be replenished. One week later, the pants were back on the website.
- Many stuff released in pictures in the collection does not show on the website until later in the season. What is the point?
- Many times, if you have a good in-store guy, you can find items that are out of stock in some stores. It would be nice if they maintained a unified inventory to avoid the hassle.

Despite all this, I think they are still the best bang for the buck. I hope they can continue to expand but don't drop the ball on quality and CS. It is not a wise business decision to disappoint the customers that helped build the brand's reputation.

Wise words Tatoulogy. I still love SS but I just don't get some of the company's decision. Just to be clear about the hangers, afaik plastic has been standard on all cuts except Sienna and Jort - at least that is my experience. The hanger I received with my first Jort was especially nice hence the disappointment today. On the other hand the quality of their top of the range shirts has improved it seems :)

I have ordered Havana and Copenhagen jackets exclusively. I got wooden hangers in all of them until the fall 2015 collection was released. Since then, all plastic, except for one I got at the store.

You guys are lucky, I've ordered several suits and jackets in the past 2 years and never once received a wooden hanger.

No wooden hangers here either, and I've ordered like 8 suits. Got some wooden hangers from target for cheap.

You should get wood from in store purchases. If you're looking for a similar wooden hanger of design and quality I would recommend the eHaberdasher hangers. I think they are $16 and they are fantastic.

I don't care for plastics hangers if they don't start skipping on the quality of the garments (buttons, etc.).
