Can you confirm you've never had to pay any additional customs fees when receiving your items in Australia? My understanding is there are no fees when under $1000AUD.
Thanks
Yes. Never. Not unless the item is > 1K.

I made a large order. They wanted to only send me two items from that order to save me returns and sizing. (I’d also bought a wool hat which didn’t need sizing which I never got to see). They then actually forgot to send that small part of the order, and I had to get back in contact with them to prompt it. Then they sent the wrong size from what I ordered. Then my original order was out of stock.

Shame, I would have been a repeat customer.

I have a very long email thread which @SpierTeam is welcome to see.

I purchased this jacket from Spier & Mackay several years ago. It's the Neapolitan cut, Contemporary fit, size 36. I'm currently planning an order for a MTM jacket from Spier & Mackay, and so I'm hoping to get some advice regarding possible tweaks relative to the RTW jacket in the attached pictures. I think I see some slight collar roll (most visible in the last photo); does that suggest that I'd benefit from a reduced shoulder slope (i.e., shoulders more squared)? Is the jacket a bit short (and, if so, by how much)? Any additional observations or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Does anyone know why S&M now charges sales tax to items sent to the United States? I have homes in both NYC and Jersey City and both are getting hit with sales tax charges.

They sent an email out some time ago. Believe it has to do with threshold of business they do in a given state...you just came up snake eyes twice, it seems.

Have yet to order since the implementation, but have a sneaking suspicion CA is not immune lol

Ok, thank you for the explanation.
GMail filters SM e-mails to the Promotions tab, which I bulk delete every now and then. If the notice was sent out some time ago, I definitely would not have seen it.
I was wondering if it was just a NY thing, but both of my addresses (NY and NJ) still require SM to charge sales tax. Bummer.

Pretty sure they have changed the neo cut pattern quite a bit in the past few years, not sure I would launch an MTM order based off a few year old model. However, the collar roll is easily fixed, just shorten the collar. Could also be due to high shoulders
