Regarding shoes, the trouble with light shade leathers is the heavy task of maintaining the colour. The lighter the shade, the more effort. Nicks, cuts and bruises are impossible to cover without using cream or polish darker in shade. I suppose this will only lead to some wonderful patina, but I'd still like to keep the original colour if possible. It is, after all, one of the reasons for buying lighter footwear. If maintenance alone is not enough, these lighter shades are also decidedly casual and will only look more or less out of place with dark fabrics. Light grey and khaki are nice, but the palette is still limited.

Looks quite similar to C&Js unlined Harvard loafer, except Harvard has slightly bigger stitches around the vamp.

The Harvard is a whole-cut loafer. The (hand) apron stitching is purely decorative, it doesn't join two pieces. Judging by the picture, the Prescott has a separate apron, so the stitching (which might be by machine, I can't quite see it) serves a purpose.

Yeah, I know.. Questionable combo as I wanted to wear the new stuff. Medium weight Zegna slacks (paired with a navy gingham shirt and navy Etro Blazer). Probably better with jeans or heavier wool in the fall.

I would pass. I see very little stitching on the shoe, not sure of the construction, leather in picks does not look impressive either. That, and I have no idea who makes them. Maybe someone else can clue us in...
