Shaggy/heavy brushed shetland wool pilling

Hello everyone,

I found a Drumohr shetland sweater online but it looks like it's pilling way too much and that brought some questions to my mind :

-is it possible to remove pills from a heavy brushed wool sweater without removing the original shaggy look ?
-should I bother buying a sweater with this much pilling or is that synonymous with bad care that is just not recoverable ?
