Thanks. We have a built-in Blaze Pro natural gas grill on the kitchen patio that I use all the time for quick and easy cooks. The kamado would be just for special occasion use, really. Might have to go for a BGE here in Atlanta though, as I drive past their HQ a couple times a week on the way out to the golf club.

My research is several years out of date, but when I made the choice, BGE had not done any product improvement in 20 years and the KJ was a clearly superior product. Since my purchase of the second generation Big Joe, I know there's at least a third (if not a fourth) generation model. Chose accordingly.

Before we moved out of her place my grill and kamado were stolen. Bought a kettle and did butter chicken drumsticks vortex style with a hickry chunk. So easy and good. Just 30 minutes and threw some shishitos with salt pepper and gochugaru on afterwards.

have one more cook, some bacon, my first brisket and then.....the turkey lined up next.

Smoked meatloaf. Put in some chipotles in adobo for some warmth. 250 for 5 hours with some pecan wood.

The kettle held steady virtually all day. Amazed at how set it and forget its been.

Also smoked cream cheese is fantastic. We smashed a whole block yesterdat--no ragrets.
