It was a dark and stormy morning. Well, okay, it was sprinkling, but you get my point. After the Azuree debacle and a working weekend, I went for some quiet comfort. YSL Rive Gauche. Quiet and sedated. Calm. Peaceful. Brown. But not for farmers.

Hear Hear!

Bay Rum with a twist. Not my favorite bay rum, but still well-done, and a steal at twice the price.

Guerlain Derby. My decant is rapidly expiring and I never see this on ebay.

It was indeed Beaux who said that, and it is well worth trying, IMO.

Speaking of Beaux, and Polge, today I am wearing Chanel Cuir de Russie. Beaux may not have made Shalimar, but he made this (Polge tuned it up for its re-release), and he can rest peacefully, for this is the equal of Shalimar in its own way.

It's getting warmer now a days so during the day I like
Bond 9 New York Chez Bond
But at night I prefer
Hermes Concentre De Orange Verte

I didn't like Bond for a LONG time but for some reason it just grew on me.

Today was Stetson Black, surprisingly good for a Stetson.

Could that be one of the bottles Guerlain is keeping at their flagship store? I was considering Jicky for a time but it too was hard to get hold of

For some reason Stetson doesn't seem to get the love it deserves. Better made than the price tag would suggest.

Today: Chanel Antaeus for a foggy, dreary day.
