That's the one thing I asked about, but figured I could get something similar elsewhere.

And were you able to?

There have been some similar stuff from Dries, SLP and elsewhere, but not exactly.

Had a chance to try in RGxCP side zip. The boot shaft is fine, but not sure how you guys fit your foot in the boot. The vamp and instep is quite low even for me and my foot is wide and flat. Do people take their same size in the CP sneaker as the boot? I think the particular side zip is narrow and flat, do people size up/TTS?

How is the break in process? Any stretch after wear?

I tried on a pair in my normal CP size (44, down 1 from true) and thought they were way too tight / narrow in the toebox. I think they'd feel elongated to the point of being slightly clumsy if I went TTS, but it's highly unlikely I could wear them in a 44.

I also thought they bulged out kind of weirdly at the base of the zipper. Could just be the weird shape of my feet causing that or the specific pair that I bought (going back to East Dane presently).

They are a little narrow in the toebox, but I was still able to wear my normal cp size fine. Only issue for me is heel slip, and that's improved some as they've broken in.

Ditto for taking CP size...I'm a "true" 8.5 (on the small side), took a 40, and they fit well. Definitely snug, but that's how I'd want em. For what it's worth, I've got really long, flat feet, so maybe that's why I was OK sizing down.

That said, still might be sending em back. The design is gorgeous except for the big leg opening, which looks especially bad with my teeny tiny ankles. And the leather and construction is just adequate, but that's what I expect from CPs.

Yeah I just took my normal CP size and they fit just fine. As I mentioned long ago when I bought the charcoal ones, I wish the ankle opening wasn't so big, but it's not a deal breaker. Still pretty great boots to wear with pants that aren't aggressively tapered. Actually ended up picking up another pair in sand when KNYEW dropped their prices to absurdly low levels.

My main problem is in the in step / ball of the foot. I do not feel any flex when I tried on, really stiff. Not sure if requires breaking the shoe in or potentially cause some integrity issues with the sole/last.

Otherwise, I dig the sand color. It is nice and fills a hole in my shoe rack.

decisions, decisions

Err, weird, if anything I would say the instep on these is pretty roomy. Only part of the shoe I could see as being tight for some people is the toebox.

I have two pairs of the boots from this season, sand and dark grey. The right boot from the dark grey is slightly smaller than all the others, which causes a slight pinch on my small toe.... so that singular boot has my boot stretcher in it currently to make the instep and toe box a little wider.

Yeah I guess toebox is also what I am referring to. Surprisingly these fit great around the ankle area too. I need to find time to try them on again.
