Came across this post and I'm intrigued by the side pockets. I can't imagine this being only a yohji thing. Anything similar or what would I search for when looking for this particular pocket?
@thats.mana Those pass-through pockets were a classic feature on vintage trenchcoats and balmacaans (there's usually a roomy open top pocket sitting slightly lower on the inside of the coat so stuff doesn't just fall through).
I've most often seen them on older coats from Burberry/Aquascutum/etc but they show up on similar classic outerwear brands (Grenfell, Invertere, some Daks coats...) and non-branded coats in the same general style, usually some kind of traditional raincoat or balmacaan design, usually British made. Makes sense that SEH Kelly coats have them.
I think some loden coats may have them too.
