My ocean suede Boston's are here...inside/outside and a picture of the heel stack which I ordered in all black. I also ordered it with a full versus half lining which I prefer...the full is so much nicer IMHO. So happy with these, the ocean suede looks blue versus navy that looks black in certain light conditions...fit is perfect...G fitting for wide feet with high instep in 314 last is the best fitting shoe I own....

An excellent Christmas present. That middle picture really shows the color, beautiful. Enjoy them.

I'll wear with grey or very light wash blue jeans...I love blue shoes!
I'm not sure from the images how close the color of the suede is to my navy shell Lindricks, but I have a dark olive colored pair of chinos that goes perfectly with the navy of those boots. Definitely my favorite pants to pair with them, and a combo worth trying if you have any olive pants.

I don’t have any olive pants. My dark navy Pembrokes I typically pair with gray jeans. I polish them with a royal blue shade from Saphir - if you look close, you can see a little bit of the polish still in the scotch grain. These are a MTO on a vibram sole.

Agreed, blue shoes combine very good with olive trousers, as well as with khaki, tan, browns and greys.

Happy Christmas everybody! 🌞

I thought now was the time to finally give this Coniston the first wellness package ever. So far, for one and a half year, this pair had only seen a damp cloth and a dirt-brush every now and then. As a neutral product I picked La Lumière Moist Care.

All very nice, as usual. And thanks for the advice: I didn't know that brand, will eventually give a try. I can recommend myself products by Famaco, besides the well known Saphir.

Merry Chrismas from me too!

Thank you and also for your recommendation! 👊🏻

If you look that up and find, that it is easier to get 'Rich Moisture' from 'Boot Black', you could go with that. It is mentioned in the reviews as the „sister product“ and Urban Buchmann, the owner of the shop who is an awesome guy and expert, mentioned to me, that the ingredients were pretty much the same: https://bootblack-shop.com/produkt/rich-moisture/?lang=en

When I will restock the La Lumiere I will also get a bottle of the Boot Black lotion to check that one too.
I love it, it's a fluid like oil and though oily it's not as ***** as typical rich creams (Saphir 1925, Boot Black, which I also use and like) and you need only a little bit.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
