I need to offer a corrective to something I posted a few weeks ago. In my defence I did email C&J at the time and got the answer I shared here, namely that boots/shoes with Vibram outsoles are cemented at both the outsole and midsole level even to the welt. However I’ve watched a video from the factory in which a pair of boots were being made. The midsole is in fact, stitched to the welt and only the outsole is cemented. Makes me less unhappy with these styles and hope this info is helpful.
