This is a Raketa, a Soviet-era watch. It's fairly common, and usually costs around $40 on eBay. Hand-winding and keeps pretty accurate time. I adjust it by about 3-5 mins perhaps once in an 8-hour day while wearing it.

@DerangedGoose, just out of curiosity, since you obviously know a lot about this: it's clear my watch needs service. But there are some days when I don't adjust it at all and it's perfect all day. Any ideas why it might be hit-and-miss?
