Is the Parnis or Seagull 1963 waterproof? Like could I wear it in the shower or the ocean (not deep diving)?

I'm wearing the exact same watch today. It doesn't wear big at all, maybe a little thick.

bmms8, does your power reserve ever go above 40? mine seems to top out there...

Yes mine also tops out at 40. iirc, that is what the watch is supposed to do.

i am wondering the same thing, i have not tried showering with it on. information on the watches are a little scarce.

Seiko "Blue Spark"

Discontinued and almost impossible to find.

Shoot. The Seiko website is a pain ********** to navigate. Do you know if they make something similiar? I would like to find a white faced quartz with a leather strap (preferrebaly black but brown is alright too).

But that was a automatic watch with blue hands. Do you just want a regular white faced/leather strap watch?

Here's a poor mans watch

That looks great with that strap. I have the same watch but with a black strap. Mine looks nice, but yours looks better. Time for a new strap!

I think it was about $330. They had a shell cordovan band version for a bit more.

I asked a few ebay sellers about both watches, they said they weren't waterproof. So for me, both of them are out of the mix.

I wouldn't want to take it off. I wouldn't want to worry about getting it wet in the rain, or doing dishes, or anything else involving water.
